banalities
our existence, each of our actions linked in chains, forged by need, only to vapid meaning, we eat and sleep fuck and shit and repeat and repeat to what end, the redundancy! Alack!
and boredom of laughter of crying of phony faces, some comical absurdities
don't jump from the fake doll house on a fake colourful movie set, sucking on your fingers
we're only sad children pretending to know what we want
and the unforgiving moon that wanes won't stop for anyone, not even for the empties

the jeering faces of the statues // 8:31 am
these kinds of dreams leave you breathlessly smothered by loss
(the tenderness of the arm around your waist, the placement of the head)
trying to take a photograph of the haunt of the statues, but they are just a blur of colours;
walking down the slope, turn back: a row of colourful faces jeering -
they are only smiling harmlessly
they are not condemning you though your disgrace deserves it
you wake up and think of how you said, "No, that's not right." but it was there, that gentleness, the eyes, but it isn't and in your heart it is an empty spot and it is gone, and maybe it will be back but probably it won't
(they know, they know)
.......... maybe I am reading too much of that book

grimace // 7:30 am
"But the movement of time seemed not to be fixed properly. The bloody weight of desire and the rusty anchor of remorse were blocking its normal flow. Time was not an arrow flying in a straight line. The continuing rain, the confused hands of the clock, the birds still fast asleep....."
"'Don't look away, look right at it,' someone whispered in his ear. 'This is what your heart looks like.'"
"All the while the rain did not let up, drenching the world in a cold chill." (It ends like that.)
It's the way it comes together that makes the writing poignant and heavy.

Where have you disappeared to and why are you suddenly back?
